LLF is working with three local farmers, seven local restaurants, and three apprentices to create a farm to fork system here in the Lowcountry. LLF has done a lot to raise awareness of local initatives. We got to meet Greg at Brewvival (he was the keynote speaker) and he is real role model in the world of craft businesses. The web site gives and excellent feel for the atmosphere they have created at their San Diego headquarters [http://www.stonebrew.com]. Stone are the makers of Arrogant Bastard Ale and other incredibly tasty craft beers. The recently opened a bistro and gardens that looks killer. Hope to visit someday.

A cool video on Horticulture Therapy.  Organic Process recently started working with Adaptive Gardens in Awendaw and believe strongly in this idea. We are hoping to produce a documentary short on the work being done by Adaptive Gardens, who recently launched their Farm Store at Thornhill Farms.

In the heart of downtown Birmingham, Alabama lives a small three acre block where big things are happening. Feeding the Soul takes a brief look at the Jones Valley Urban Farm and highlights some of the incredible ways that this small farm is not only giving back to the city of Birmingham but is setting an example for the entire world to follow. Filmed over the course of the 2008 summer harvest, we witness the hardships and triumphs of a farm that’s anything but ordinary.
